Allow me to introduce myself

Hi friends and welcome to my blog! I am really excited to use this space as a place to offer you connection, inspiration, laughter and useful information for making the most out of your photography sessions! 

If you don't know already, my name is Haley Olsthoorn and I am the face behind the camera of Haley Olsthoorn Photography. I LOVE creating art with your family's love story. Whether it is family photos, newborn, maternity or wedding photography, I love being able to document your biggest life events. I am extremely passionate about raw, storytelling emotion through my images - even if you feel that doesn't come naturally!

My family's love story is (obviously) my favourite one of all! I was lucky enough to meet the man of my dreams while I was living in Whitehorse, Yukon. We fell in love fast and in 6 short months we packed up our lives and moved to Penticton, B.C. Within a year of moving we were engaged and eloped in South America.

My husband is kind, compassionate, logical and funny. He is the bees knees and I could write a whole blog post on just how great he is and how much I love him. 

Just when I thought I couldn't love this man more, we finally welcomed our baby girl into the world December of 2021! Kaija Lucy Olsthoorn is the greatest gift I have ever been gifted. Being her mama and knowing I created this perfect little human has truly been so surreal, especially after our traumatic fertility journey. Our little babe is an IVF miracle.

That's my little fam-jam and they are my world! They are also the "why" that drives my photography and the reason I have big dreams for where my business will go. It's the best feeling to connect with people for a living and to be able to capture remarkable memories that will forever be frozen in time. 

I'm so thankful to all my clients for allowing me to be a part of these moments.
